Job summary
A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage monthly financial accounts and project-related finances. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, alongside 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and financial reporting skills are essential. The role offers a dynamic work environment, splitting time between Potong Pasir and Changi locations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with project teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare full set monthly management accounts.
- Assist in preparation of annual budget and financial forecast.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and controls.

- Prepare full set monthly management account and related schedules timely.
- Handle day-to-day account operations and month-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparation of annual budget and financial forecast.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST and other statutory tax matters.
- Prepare monthly schedules and reports required for annual audit and tax purposes.
- Maintain accurate project accounts, including monitoring project budgets, costs, and revenue recognition.
- Work closely with project managers and QS teams to monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to facilitate audits and tax-related matters
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Support process and system implementation projects; continuously streamline and automate tasks to improve efficiency.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting / construction / engineering industries.
- Strong knowledge of project cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Positive attitude with ability to work independently under tight deadlines and well-organised.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with project teams.
- Work locations: Potong Pasir and Changi (3 days at Potong Pasir and 2 days at Changi)
