The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
The position of Product Management Executive focuses on these primary products under the Merchant Business Team:
- Merchant Value Added Services
- Terminal Management
He/She will report to the Head of Merchant Business - Offline Payment on the day-to-day development of these products. The incumbent will also be exposed to NETS product development methodology and is expected to follow the processes/methodology to ensure that products are developed/managed with compliance and service excellence in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage business requirements with cross functional teams.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility on new features/changes requests.
- Conduct user acceptance test to ensure the product is developed or enhanced according to requirements.
- Monitor financial performance of the responsible product.
- Assess market trends to ensure product validity.
- Manage incidents/escalations from contact centre.
- Provide support to sales and servicing team on product related materials and queries.
- Conduct training to internal stakeholders such as Contact Centre, Operations and Sales/Servicing teams for new product launches or enhancements.
- Manage the necessary documentation to support service operations.
- Maintain Product Management Policy and Product Risk Management.
- Conduct Live Verification during product/enhancement launch to ensure the successful deployment and product function to requirements.
- Support the development of the responsible product's strategic roadmap with key market research.
- Other Administrative Duties:
- Updating of policies and procedures
- Perform regression testing for various systems, and work with User Acceptance Testing team where necessary.
- Development of test plan, test cases and perform live verification of services.
- Development of service management documentation for product development.
- Manage any vendors/suppliers/partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, product management with specific industry expertise in banking / financial platforms, both operationally and strategically.
- Good knowledge of payments, the payments industry and related technologies.
- Good knowledge of agile methodologies and software development practices.
- Candidates skilled in matrix and project management and equipped with critical thinking analysis would be preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with payment systems and payment vendors and payment schemes.
- Demonstrated track record in developing and executing strategies for digital capabilities.
- Keen industry knowledge of innovation in the payment, card, mobile and online spaces.
- Being well-versed in financial modeling would be advantageous.
- Strong presentation and engagement skills with ability to develop and cultivate relationships with a variety of business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and articulation skills.
- Strong conceptual, critical thinking and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
- Highly skilled in using - MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
- Should have good project management/coordination skills.
- Self-starter, fast learner, resilient, adaptable and have a relentless desire to solve pain-points with a customer-centric mindset and a strong team player.
