Fairprice Group is seeking a dynamic and self‑motivated ECommerce Strategic Growth Manager to identify and deliver growth for our Ecommerce online business, responsible for driving and implementing strategic initiatives to attain key goals and targets to attain revenue and profitability for the Fairprice Ecommerce Business. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and will draw upon solid analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills to effectively lead and develop initiatives to scale the online grocery business.

THE ROLE

You will be reporting to the Deputy General Manager, Ecommerce and partake in driving strategic initiatives. You will stay on top of industry and competitive trends, and lead projects at both tactical and strategic level to identify opportunities, drive sales across the categories, while also improving our customer experience. You will have exposure and will work closely with pivotal stakeholders across the Ecommerce business from Products, Marketing, Operations and COE teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement ecommerce strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities and consumer preferences to recommend strategic initiatives to enhance competitive positioning
  • Lead and develop the long term category management strategy to drive growth, profitability and market share
  • Identify key levers for growth, such as assortment optimisation, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics, and develop action plans to capitalise on these opportunities
  • Work closely with the Insights team to analyse sales performance and generate actionable insights and recommendations to improve category performance and campaign effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against sales targets and objectives
  • Continuously assess and optimise strategies based on data‑driven insights and market feedback
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and be comfortable in managing multiple projects
  • Be a steward of good data practices – robust documentation, process and knowledge sharing
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience in the retail or ecommerce industry, preferably in the grocery or consumer goods sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership role
  • Past category and product management experience with end to end ownership of campaign execution in an ecommerce environment will be highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to competently draw on insights from other markets and has a solid understanding of shopper behaviour across a number of categories / channels
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented mindset with the ability to drive business growth and profitability
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
