Cardiology Associate Consultant / Consultant / Senior Consultant

KTPH is a 795-bed general and acute care hospital, opened in June 2010. Serving more than 550,000 people living in the northern sector of Singapore. KTPH is part of Yishun Health, a network medical institutions and health facilities under the National Healthcare Group.

KTPH provides a comprehensive cardiology service that includes:

1. Coronary care unit (including mechanical ventilation and dialysis)
2. Cardiac catheter labs providing 24 hours primary PCI service
3. Cardiac implantable electronic devices (adopted routine physiological pacing including PPM/ICDs and CRTs)
4. Echocardiogram service including stress echocardiography, strain imaging, 3D echocardiography and trans-oesophageal echocardiography
5. Nuclear imaging services and all its modalities

CT coronary angiography and cardiac MRI services are provided by diagnostic radiology.

We are looking for consultant cardiologist who have sub-specialty training in either echocardiography or cardiac device implantation.

You will have responsibilities in the areas of Clinical, Education, Research and Administration. This includes developing and leading intradepartmental and interdepartmental clinical services, teaching and mentoring of junior doctors, scholarly activities and involved in non-clinical administrative duties in the hospital. In addition, you will also take on any other duty assigned by the Head of Department.

• Possess medical qualification from one of the Universities/Medical Institutions listed in the Schedules of the Singapore Medical Council;
• Eligible for Conditional or Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council;
• Completed specialist training with qualification in Cardiology with the Specialist Accreditation Board;
• Possess good track record in leadership quality and working in a multidisciplinary team setting;
• Candidate whose basic medical qualification is not conducted in the English language must provide evidence of English Proficiency and meet the acceptable score specified by the Singapore Medical Council.
