Job summary
A leading staffing firm in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices and maintain financial records. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and possess 1-2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Excel is essential, and knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Qualifications
- 1-2 years of working experience in handling accounts payable matters, ideally in a shared service center.
Responsibilities
- Process and record invoices, payments, and credit notes accurately.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Review and verify Travel & Expense reports for compliance.
- Perform reconciliations and analyze financial reports.
- Address queries on GST tax treatment on invoices.
- Assist with tax and legal reporting obligations.
- Contribute to process reviews for operational effectiveness.
- Support ad hoc assignments and special projects.
Skills
Education
- Process and record invoices, payments, and credit notes accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Review and verify Travel & Expense reports for compliance and accuracy.
- Perform reconciliations, analyze financial reports, schedules, and vendor Statements of Accounts.
- Address and follow up on queries and issues from both internal teams and external parties, including matters related to GST tax treatment on invoices.
- Assist with tax and legal reporting obligations as required.
- Contribute to periodic process reviews to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support various ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of working experience (shared service centre preferred) handling AP matters.
- Must be proficient in MS Excel; SAP experience is an advantage.
