Job summary
A construction management company in Singapore seeks a Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with safety codes, and manage construction personnel. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the local construction industry, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving abilities under pressure. Fresh candidates are also welcome to apply. This role demands flexibility for long hours and effective team management in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the local building construction industry.
- Relevant experience in construction works.
- Must be contactable via hand phone at any time.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine site inspections and ensure safety codes are met.
- Manage construction personnel and delegate tasks effectively.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide feedback.
Skills
- Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
- Staying up-to-date with safety codes and advancements in construction.
- Meet operational standards by resolving problems, contributing information to strategic plans, and identifying improvements
- Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations
- Prevent interruptions and fines by enforcing and fulfilling codes
- managing construction personnel and delegating tasks to meet deadlines
- performing regular inspections of the construction site
- identifying potential safety hazards and managing them accordingly
- ensuring all personnel comply with health and safety practices, such as wearing the appropriate protective equipment
- organising work schedules
- checking work techniques are correct and safe
- managing orders and deliveries of building materials
- assisting project managers with planning work activities
- completing site reports and other records
- attending site management meetings
- Check and ensure material order and fabrication works in compliance with the specification and drawings.
- Responsible for the day to day supervision of projects and carry out associated administrative duties.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Compliance to safe work procedures and maintain good house-keeping.
- Supervise and manage of construction workers on daily site activities.
- Minimum 3 years of practical working experience in local building construction industry. Fresh candidates are also welcome
- Relevant experience in construction works.
- Must be contactable by means of hand phone at any time including weekend and public holidays
- Willing to work long hours, night work, overtime and Sunday work if required
- Stay calm and maintain quality output under time constraints or high-pressure scenarios
- must be comfortable working under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations, demonstrating resilience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Able to build and lead strong unified teams in diverse multi-cultural environments.
