Job description

The Construction (renovation) Manager manages construction activities and its progress. He/She oversees the quality control and safety matters of the project. He/She will be required to manage the administration of the project. The construction (renovation) manager will be working both indoor and outdoor environment. Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.

Duty & Responsibilites:

• Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors in accordance of project schedules and contract requirements.
• Manage budget and expenditure of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Manage resources required on site.
• Manage workplace safety in accordance to safety and health regulations.
• Monitor quality of construction to ensure compliance with building control regulations.
• Monitor the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the project timeline.
• Negotiate with relevant parties to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Plan work schedules to ensure project plans are carried out as planned.
• Prepare reports to track the progress and cost of the project.
• Prepare tenders and contract bids.
• Supervise site labour force to ensure project operations comply with standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in the construction renovation works;
• Skilled in interior design, indoor renovation projects and Carpentry work in structure works;
• Must be a team player and have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management;
• Able to take long hours of work including weekends and Public Holidays, and to perform overtime work as and when necessary;
