A technology services provider in Singapore is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage HANA and MS-SQL databases. You will ensure operational support, optimize performance, and handle incidents in a 24x7 environment. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and has extensive experience in database administration. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication are essential for this role.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in RDBMS management in cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.

- Process service requests for database changes and enhancements.
- Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring database issues.
- Support the implementation of standard and custom database builds.
- Provide operational support for HANA and MS-SQL databases.
- Ensure adherence to backup and recovery processes.
- Optimize database performance and manage alert monitoring.
- Decommission systems/servers following proper protocols as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or any related field.
- Strong experience with HANA and MS-SQL databases.
- Strong experience in database administration, with a focus on HANA and MS-SQL.
- Proficiency in RDBMS management and administration in a public/private cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and decommissioning processes.
- Experience in incident management and database performance optimization in a 24x7 environment.
- Experience managing database outages and coordinating effective recovery.
- Familiarity with alert monitoring and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.
- Effective communication skills for incident and service request management.
