Job summary
A leading company in financial solutions is seeking a Product Specialist in Structured Trade Finance based in Riyadh. The role involves developing innovative trade finance products and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve market objectives. Candidates should possess robust experience in trade finance along with strong communication and negotiation skills. This position offers a chance to contribute significantly to product strategy and client advisory services in the dynamic financial landscape of the GCC.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in structured trade products.
- Experience in business development for trade finance products.
- Preferably experience in the GCC region.
Responsibilities
- Develop structured trade finance products and solutions.
- Collaborate across teams to meet business targets.
- Train Relationship Managers to recognize market opportunities.
Skills
Education
Develop structured trade finance products, including off-balance sheet solutions for receivables and inventory.
Collaborate with relationship management, legal, compliance, operations, risk, and financial control to develop new trade finance products and complete approval processes to meet business targets.
Design solutions for financing receivables on a non-recourse basis, including scenarios from full assignment to silent purchase.
Develop factoring and forfaiting products, and gain expertise on credit insurance covers to create receivables financing products with such covers.
Create inventory financing solutions tailored to clients, enabling inventory financing without balance sheet inclusion.
Prepare product programs for internal approval, outlining standardized parameters such as pricing, risk criteria, exposure levels, target markets, and approval processes.
Provide advisory services to clients in coordination with Relationship Management for structuring complex trade finance products.
Identify target markets for each product and train Relationship Managers to recognize opportunities.
Develop reporting systems in collaboration with IT, Operations, and Financial Control, and monitor MIS on product utilization, outstanding volumes, and profitability.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and economic/political factors affecting the market.
Perform any other assignments as directed by the line manager.
- 5-10 years of experience in structured trade products.
- Experience in business development for trade finance products.
- University degree, preferably in banking and finance.
- Preferably experience in the GCC region.
- Strong people management, communication, and presentation skills in English.
- Result-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a sales-driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
