We’re looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst in Dubai who will be responsible for providing strong financial reporting, business partnering, and analysis. This role will have a large focus on big data and bringing Aggreko’s current systems into the AI era. There will also be a strong emphasis on automation and optimization of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making processes for the Middle East business.

What you’ll do:
Support the Finance Business Partner providing financial support & analysis across all territories.
Support in the process of delivering month end/year-end, quarterly forecasts and annual budget for the business by timely preparation of month end P&L and Balance Sheet forecast and business Performance Dashboard Metrics, month-end and year-end reports using Power Query and Power BI.
Identify efficiencies and build improvements to existing financial processes and reports and identify key trends and provide risk analysis where necessary.
Cost Controlling & Analysis - track, analyse and control the costs associated with transactional business and specific high-volume projects, such as Mobilisation/Demobilisation, Service Materials and other Indirect costs related to the ME Business.
Assist in the implementation of an Aggreko wide planning tool and process changes as well as FP&A related system upgrades.
Work closely with cross-functional teams/key stakeholders of the ME business outside of Finance in ensuring Financial Analysis is provided for Strategic Decision Making and Planning.
Review, analyse and explain cost variances vs. budget and forecast as part of the month-end close working closely with the Outsource provider to resolve errors or to obtain greater understanding of the source data.
Use Aggreko's business intelligence system and month-end analysis to provide insight into the performance of the business to the Finance Business Partners.
Seek an in-depth understanding of the business and help determine any predefined relevant drivers for inclusion in performance analytics.
Assist in the preparation of business presentation materials where required and support the Finance Team.
Assist with the standard analysis and reporting, including profitability and unit cost analysis as defined.
Assist the FP&A Manager with ad-hoc requirements relevant for the Group consolidation and analysis.
Assist the Finance Partners within the business with any ad-hoc analysis required, including gathering of data and validating assumptions to develop models/reports suitable to be provided to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Review ongoing ad-hoc requests to determine if any requirements are requested often and work to incorporate into the standard suite of reports/analysis provided to Finance Business Partners.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Academically qualified finance professional that is an expert in Power Bi, Excel and Power Query.
An Academically Qualified individual with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree level and/or equivalent qualification. MBA would be beneficial.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance/Business Analysis role.
Good technical accounting knowledge.
Expert in Excel with advanced knowledge in Power Query.
Expert in Power Bi.
Proven track record with system automation.
Proficiency in analyzing and questioning data when necessary to guarantee thoroughness and accuracy.
Have experience of developing/improving processes and have worked on continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience of M3 Cloudsuite, Tagetik, Basware would be advantageous.
