Overview
Reporting to: CFO
Manage, control and ensure that company accounting activities and procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles and comply with the approved policies and procedures of the company. Lead and coordinate all tasks and functions related to financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and debt financing. Fulfill in a timely manner all financial obligations and requirements with third parties, i.e. external audit, Zakat, lenders, SIDF and others.
Responsibilities
- Manage, control and ensure that company accounting activities and procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are handled and processed in line with the approved policies and procedures.
- Oversee the daily operations of the finance department.
- Prepare the monthly financial reports with all needed financial and costing analysis, comparing with Budget and KPIs.
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts in coordination with the CFO.
- Ensure that the company continuously maintains sufficient funds to fulfill its financial obligations by preparing monthly cash flow forecasts; monitor actual cash flow against forecast and take necessary measures to remedy variances.
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies; monitor terms, conditions and covenants and ensure compliance with them.
- Prepare financial analyses for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Lead and coordinate with all other departments the preparation of the annual operating budget and the development of 3-10 year business plans for the company.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance.
Essential requirements
- Degree in Accounting
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior level Finance or Accounting position
- A CPA or CMA professional qualification preferred
- Candidates with experience in privately owned (non-government) industrial or energy companies preferred
- Saudi nationals only
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- General knowledge of ERP Systems and the relation of other modules with accounting and finance modules and the associated controls
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of Government financial regulations
KYE SKILLS
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
- Good knowledge in cost accounting and financial analysis
- General knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, e.g. product cost, inventory, standard cost, variance analysis between actual and standard cost
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to multitask, work long hours and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes while managing multiple projects
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
