Requirements
- Good command of Mandarin (reading & writing); able to communicate in basic English and Malay.
- Proactive, strong teamwork spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Diploma/Degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of on-site quality management experience in manufacturing; automotive industry experience is an added advantage.
- Familiar with raw material, in-process and finished goods inspection processes, with hands-on experience in handling quality issues.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 / IATF16949, APQP, PPAP and other quality system requirements; able to conduct on-site audits and handle customer complaints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, QMS systems, SPC tools, and ERP / MES systems.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, logical and highly responsible.
- Able to work in a shop-floor environment; willing to work shifts and overtime (OT allowance provided).
- Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and capability.
Responsibilities
1. On-Site Quality Control
- Monitor and enforce inspection standards for raw materials, in-process and finished goods to ensure product quality stability.
- Conduct on-site sampling inspection and process audits to ensure compliance with quality and process requirements.
- Handle on-site quality issues, lead 8D investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage measurement tools and gauges, ensuring proper usage, calibration and compliance.
2. Customer Complaints & Issue Response
- Establish fast-response mechanisms for customer complaints to ensure timely closure.
- Support customer audits, quality communication and technical problem-solving to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Follow up on corrective actions, verify effectiveness and ensure issues are closed properly.
3. Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis
- Drive on-site quality improvement projects and execute PDCA cycles.
- Analyze quality data and trends, propose corrective and optimization actions.
- Assist the Quality Manager in setting quality targets and execution plans.
4. Team Collaboration & Training
- Assist in training inspectors and operators to improve quality awareness and inspection skills.
- Coordinate with Production, Equipment, Material Control and other departments to close quality issues efficiently.
- Participate in quality meetings and monthly reviews, promoting continuous improvement of the quality management system.
