Qualifications

We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented accountant with strong Xero experience and fluency in Chinese to support their portfolio of F&B clients in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with cloud-based tools, understand F&B operational flows, and be capable of independently handling daily financial operations and reporting.

We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented accountant with strong Xero experience and fluency in Chinese to support their portfolio of F&B clients in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with cloud-based tools, understand F&B operational flows, and be capable of independently handling daily financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

POS & Income Reconciliation:

  • Integrate and map sales data from F&B POS systems into Xero
  • Set up and reconcile multiple revenue streams including dine-in, takeaway, delivery apps, and QR payments
  • Monitor daily and weekly transactions to ensure all income is captured, properly categorized, and matched in Xero
  • Identify discrepancies between POS and accounting records and resolve them promptly

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Perform regular reconciliation of transactions from bank feeds, credit card statements, e-wallets, and other payment gateways
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Investigate and rectify any inconsistencies, duplicate and missing entries

Accounts Payable Food Material Purchases:

  • Record supplier invoices related to food, beverages, packaging, and inventory purchases
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes when applicable
  • Track payment due dates and manage payment schedules to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Maintain supplier account records and handle any related queries

Payroll Management:

  • Accurately process payroll for hourly and salaried F&B staff, factoring in shift work, overtime, allowances, and leave
  • Ensure timely and compliant submission of HK employers statutory filings
  • Post monthly payroll journals and accruals in Xero, including any payroll-related provisions

Reporting & Financial Support:

  • Generate monthly management reports including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial results and highlight key trends and variances to the management team
  • Support year-end closing processes, tax filings, and external audit requirements
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation to ensure audit readiness
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with F&B or retail clients
  • Proficient in Xero (Xero certification is a strong advantage)
  • Familiar with POS systems and cloud-based financial tools
  • Fluent in Chinese (spoken and written) is a must to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently across multiple client accounts
