Job description

We are seeking a skilled Wire Cut Machinist to join our dynamic team at Microlead Precision Technology Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As a full-time Wire Cut Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, operating specialised wire cutting machinery to produce high-precision components for our clients.

What you'll be doing

Operate Wire Cut / EDM machines to produce parts based on drawings and requirements.

Set up machines, fixtures, electrodes, and tooling as needed.

Program or edit Wire Cut machining parameters (FANUC / Sodick / Mitsubishi or similar).

Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy, precision, and quality output.

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues.

Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, projector, etc.).

Ensure proper documentation of machining processes and production records.

Work closely with engineering & production teams to meet project timelines.

What we're looking for

Certificate/Diploma in Machining, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, or related fields.

Experience in Wire Cut/EDM machining is an added advantage.

Able to read technical drawings and understand GD&T.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
