MVSI is an Australian headquartered global company offering the worlds leading onboarding platform for financial services and payments. Operating from our COE in KL, we are looking for an experienced, driven VP of Software to help take the product team to the next level.

This role has responsibility for managing Software Development, Testing, and Professional Services, with teams in Malaysia, Australia, and the UK.

Your Responsibilities

• Be part of the executive management team leading our company to world domination.
• Manage a team of awesome software developers who are focused on building next generation SaaS software, including creating internal & external APIs to a variety of commercial and government data sources. Mongo, Node.js React and Material UI are our tech stack.
• Lead the geographically dispersed Services Delivery team in implementation projects for new and existing customers around the world.
• Engage with key stakeholders within both the company and our client base around delivery schedules, functionality and cadence, including ensuring our services team delivers projects on time and on budget.
• Ensure execution of SDLC project flow for the solution delivery organization.
• Work closely with the CTO on strategy and vision
• Ensure that both unit and system testing are properly conducted, efficient, and effective.
• Mentor the best talent bringing out the best in every engineer, and nurture a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, creative problem solving, and innovation within the team

About you We want the best!

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working in a software development environment
• 3+ years in a managerial role managing software developers, and testing teams.
• Excellent knowledge and skills in our tech stack.
• Good experience in backend and frontend technologies and methodologies
• Sound knowledge of Microservices, cloud services and API development.
• Experience in designing, developing and deploying large, scalable production applications on Cloud/SaaS platforms such as AWS and Azure. AWS is our provider of choice.
• Qualified Scrum master, experience in Agile development teams, employing relevant methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Continuous Integration and Deployment.
• Qualified project manager, with experience across both small and large projects, including cost management.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven oral and written communication skills, both technical and business focused. Excellent oral and written in English, you will be the face of engineering globally.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
