Job description

EQ8, a subsidiary of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (KIBB), is looking for an energetic Vice President, Business Development ( Partnership) to manage key client relationships and originate high-value business opportunities. You will lead the development of proposals and pitch materials, identify market trends and client needs, and build a strong deal pipeline to achieve ambitious targets. This role also supports marketing initiatives to enhance visibility and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and market EQ8 products to distribution channels to increase assets under management, revenue, and market share.
  • Conduct sales presentations to acquire new customer bases, either directly or via distributors.
  • Establish and cultivate new product distribution partnerships.
  • Facilitate joint fieldwork with distributors and potential clients to promote our investment management services.
  • Provide overall advisory on business and technology platforms aligned with the approved value proposition, including expansion of products and services locally and regionally.
  • Introduce new technology and business platforms to support Kenanga Group and GEBB businesses.
  • Contribute ideas to ongoing and future strategic plans, recommending new initiatives, solutions, and best practices to enhance business transactions and income streams.
  • Anticipate future business trends and proactively support technology rollouts and business growth strategies
  • Communicate customer feedback to Head Office for continuous improvement and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Gather and assess feedback via tracking reports and conduct market intelligence/research on trends and developments to drive product innovation.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Certified IUTA or CUTA is highly preferred.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Marketing Investment/Fund Investment with strong knowledge of investment products.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and drive strategic partnerships.
