Your Role as Transport Consultant / Transport Planner:

You are motivated by problem-solving and passionate about how transport systems support liveable, connected places. You enjoy working with data, policies, and design teams to understand how people move and how transport networks operate, and you are keen to apply this knowledge to real-world projects.

Working within a collaborative transport planning and traffic engineering team, you will support senior consultants and engineers across a wide range of projects. You are comfortable operating in a project-driven environment, value teamwork and learning, and are committed to developing your technical and professional skills in transport planning, traffic engineering, and road design.

Your Responsibilities and Professional Development:

Based on your experience, you will support the delivery of transport planning and traffic engineering inputs across multiple projects. You will work closely with transport planners, engineers, urban designers, and master planners to ensure transport considerations are well-integrated into development and infrastructure outcomes.

You will assist with technical analysis, reporting, and coordination activities, gaining exposure to transport studies, modelling, policy assessment, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers strong technical support, knowledge sharing, and opportunities to build practical experience across a diverse range of transport projects.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of transport planning and traffic engineering studies, including traffic impact assessments, transport masterplans, access and parking studies
  • Support active transport and public transport assessments to promote sustainable and integrated mobility outcomes
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret transport data such as traffic counts, turning movement surveys, parking surveys, and travel behaviour data
  • Assist with the development of transport models, forecasts, and scenario testing, where applicable
  • Prepare technical reports, figures, drawings, and presentation materials to support project delivery
  • Assist with reviewing development proposals against relevant planning policies, transport guidelines, and authority requirements
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, clients, and external stakeholders as required
  • Support senior staff in meeting project deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment through effective communication and knowledge sharing

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, or transport consulting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in data-driven decision-making
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience assisting with transport or traffic assessments and technical reporting
  • Familiarity with transport planning policies, guidelines, and approval authority requirements
  • Exposure to transport modelling tools such as SIDRA, VISUM, VISSIM, Aimsun, or similar
  • Exposure to drafting tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar
  • Interest in sustainable transport, active travel, and integrated transport planning

Your Working Location:

Your primary office location will be in Kuala Lumpur, with collaboration across international project teams.

You will be based within a collaborative transport planning and traffic engineering team, working closely with planners, designers, and engineers across a range of development and infrastructure projects.
