Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Establish the process capability and the capacity/productivity model.
• Be able to fully define and characterize the designated process.
• Define the PCP and improve critical process capability (as defined in the process control plan, product drawings/specification, and BOM).
• Fully understand necessary controls, equipment, precautions, setup parameters to meet product specifications.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process, and implement yield improvement projects.
• Responsible for the process yields of the designated process. Establish and implement all appropriate actions to improve the yields.
• Conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies, and actions to improve these capabilities. Generate reaction plans for OOC situations.
• Assist manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification and improving operator utilization and productivity as well as inventory reduction.
• Communicate and interface well with peers, enhance teamwork.
• Emotional intelligence.
• Derive continual improvement and use of resources.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Practice risk-based thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
• Compliance with ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes, etc.
• Improve process yields, machine UPH and drive cost down.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science/Engineering, preferably majoring in Electronics or Mechanical.
• Preferably major in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechatronics or Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in related industry and mass production environment. Experience in semiconductor or transceiver manufacturing an added advantage.
• Hands‑on experience on Wirebond and Die attach machines. Added advantage for knowledge on KNS, Shinkawa, Datacon, ASM.
• Good computer literacy especially in SPC related applications.
• Must exhibit a strong sense of data analytical skills with hands‑on working attitude.
• Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company.
• Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, poka‑yoke principles will be an added advantage.
• Capable in running DOEs through statistical/analytical engineering tools.
• Good quality systems understanding of SPC, FMEA and 8D process.
• Capable to lead and train small group of techs and operators.
• Focus to support NPI and transfer of new products. Must be willing to travel if needed.
• Added advantage for those that can speak Mandarin.
