As part of the Optics Supply Chain Engineering Organization, the Optical Product Engineering Team is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to support new product introduction of the Optical Subsystem products at out EMS Jabil Penang and other subcomponent vendors. This local Product Engineer will work with Product Engineering team in Vimercate and R&D team in Nuremburg, New York, and Sunnyvale, to introduce new products at the EMS by ensuring the designs are manufacturable and that all associated documentation is complete and correct. In addition, the program manager will provide sustaining support to mass production ensuring the NOKIA quality, yield and delivery requirements for the product are met.

Your responsibilities

As part of the team, you will:

• Responsibility for Supply Chain Program Management.
• Represent Industrial Engineering (IE) / Supply Chain (SC) in with other Nokia organizations like R&D, PLM, Reverse Supply Chain teams.
• Program manage Nokia contract manufacturers regarding new product introduction, volume ramp and end of life processes.
• Escalation point for output impacting supply and technical issues.
• Provide input and represent SC in product life cycle reviews.
• Understand, implement, and follow corporate processes, tools, and strategies wrt Industrial/Supply Chain Engineering.
• Work in cross-functional, cross-locational teams.
• Ensure overall continuity of supply.
• Set up New Product Introduction (NPI) project plans and execute them.
• Resolve operational issues out of prototype and pre-series runs in cross-functional teams (Product Engineering, Test Engineering, R&D, PLM, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing).
• Interface and supervise the Electronics Manufacturing Service provider (EMS) on operational and technical basis.
• Set up and meet manufacturing quality targets.
• Set up and meet manufacturing yield targets.
• Stabilize new product in manufacturing environment.
• Work efficiently with state-of-the-art tools and databases to analyse and visualize SC relevant data.
• Manage product changes in supply chain.
• Work in quality and yield improvement projects.
• Manage "Phase-In-Phase-Out" of product variants.
• Analyze and support component discontinuations (DA), last-time buys (LTB).
• Work on Supply Chain processes and optimization projects.
• Support "Product Transfers" between different locations or companies.

Your skills and experience

You have:

• Technical education as an Electrical / Mechanical/ Manufacturing / Industrial engineer or comparable.
• Hardware experience from working in Product Manufacturing or Hardware Development.
• Basic understanding of Optical products Supply Chain and manufacturing systems and technologies.
• Understanding of Quality Management Requirements (TL9000, ISO9000).
• Experience with Optical and or Silicon Photonics products.
• Experienced in project or program management.
• Previous experience in Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain (Program) Management would be ideal.
• Basic micro-economical knowledge (profit-loss-mechanisms in Manufacturing/Supply Chain).
• Willingness to be based in Penang.
