Job summary

A technology company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced professional to provide technical support to the Distribution Channel Management System (DCMS) team. This role requires strong expertise in PL/SQL, Weblogic, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Forms. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the life/general insurance industry, along with a recognized degree in Computer Science or related fields. Responsibilities include designing applications and databases while leading a team for complex IT solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in PL/SQL, Weblogic, Oracle Reports and Oracle Forms technologies.
• Preferably 3 years of experience in Life/General insurance industry.
• Ability to work independently and produce high quality work under pressure.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Distribution Channel Management System (DCMS) team
• Provide solutions and guidance for complex programming solutions
• Design and document applications and databases according to the user/ business requirements
• Analyse and design test scenarios and test cases based on business and/or technical requirements
• Lead a team to conduct complex feasibility studies on strategic IT solutions
• Apply enterprise architecture in the design and development of applications/ databases
• Conduct training to team members for knowledge sharing purpose
• Conduct workshops and facilitate information collection
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when required by management

Skillset

• Possess a recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems
• Have at least 3 years of experience in PL/SQL, Weblogic, Oracle Reports and Oracle Forms technologies
• Possess preferably 3 years of experience in Life/General insurance industry
• Strong development knowledge on Object-Oriented Software Engineering
• Experience in building Insurance System will be advantageous
• Able to work independently, detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful and have strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to produce high quality work under pressure
