Role Description

• Position: Civil Site Engineer
• Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in PEB (Pre-Engineered Building), Steel Structure (SS), or general construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure work progresses according to schedule, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor installation of PEB/steel structure components, ensuring quality compliance and correct construction methods.
• Manage and monitor material handling, including receiving, unloading, storage, and distribution of Zamil Steel components at site.
• Inspect workmanship, materials, and safety practices at site and report any deviations.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical or site-related issues.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Prepare daily site progress reports, material usage logs, and site documentation.
• Ensure all works comply with company standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• Assist in planning, sequencing of work, and monitoring project milestones.
• Coordinate material delivery, storage, and usage to avoid delays and wastage.
• Support project engineers/managers in execution, testing, and project handover activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in PEB, Steel Structure, or general construction site environment (experience with Zamil Steel projects is an advantage).
• Able to read and understand steel structure erection drawings and civil/structural plans.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently at site with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in relevant software and tools: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office (Excel/Word), and other engineering-related applications.
• Preferred candidates: Local Sarawakian or candidates with experience working in Sarawak.
