Job summary

A leading global IoT solutions provider in Penang is seeking an experienced operations and maintenance engineer with proficiency in Linux and Python scripting. Candidates should have over 3 years of relevant experience and be familiar with cloud services and containerization technologies. The role involves monitoring IoT platform performance, resolving technical incidents, and developing automation scripts. Fluency in English is required, and Mandarin communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

Job Responsibility:

• Conduct deep monitoringof global IoT platform performance (including eSIM/vSIM connectivity quality).
• Resolve Level 2 technical incidents, leading complex issue replication and diagnostics.
• Develop operation automation scripts(Python/Shell) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist supervisors in creating SOPsand guide support team technicians in technical operations.
• Support supervisorsin delivering technical training to team members to elevate technical proficiency.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and solutionsto contribute to knowledge base development.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as an operations and maintenance/network engineer, with a major in computer/communications or a related field.
• Proficient in Linux/Windows system maintenance; those with CCNP/RHCE certifications are preferred.
• Have the ability to develop operation and maintenance scripts (Python/Ansible preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), containerization technology (Kubernetes), and load balance solutions is a plus.
• Fluent in reading and writing English technical documents, able to independently interface with domestic technical teams
• Priority will be given to candidates with Mandarin communication skills
• Able to respond to emergency incidents at night when necessary.
