Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Technical & Engineering Manager in Kajang, Malaysia. This role requires providing strategic leadership in engineering and technical operations within gas and utilities. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and have 10-15 years of experience. Senior Technical & Engineering Manager (Energy/Gas Utilities)

Technical & Engineering Services is accountable for the overall profit and loss performance of the division.

Provides strategic leadership in engineering, technical operations, project execution, and maintenance across LPG system installations, gas and utilities pipelines construction and related infrastructure.

Strong commercial acumen, technical mastery, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams while driving operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Collaborate with regulatory authorities, government bodies, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of HSSE management systems, HEMP, PTW, JHA, MS, and LPG standards, its implementation and practical implementation.

Oversee engineering design, technical support, pipeline integrity, and asset management programs.

Oversee engineering studies, feasibility assessments and technical specifications for gas and non-gas pipeline projects.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ASCE, local regulatory codes).

Evaluate and approve engineering deliverables, designs, drawings, and technical reports.
