Job summary

A leading technology firm based in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking an experienced professional in Supplier Management and Supply Chain. Responsibilities include managing supplier relations, conducting audits, and documentation for shipments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, and strong communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative purchasing initiatives and quality monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Min 3-5 years working experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or Material Department.
  • Experience in materials needs assessment, buying role, planning/purchasing scheduling are added advantage.
  • Able to communicate in English, Malay & Mandarin is highly preferred.

  • Supplier OTD & quality issue monitoring, order management, and inventory control.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supplier management and development, material planning and ordering, searching parts in the open market.
  • Supplier OTD & quality issue monitoring, order management, inventory control & E&O handling.
  • Coordinate with supplier and internal on quality and resolve payment issue, EOL/ECN monitoring.
  • Incoming shipment arrangement and documentation preparation, import shipment tracking.
  • Conduct new supplier audit and apply credit facility for new supplier.
  • Monthly management report & meeting, internal & external audit such as ISO audit and customer audit.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in the system.
  • Participates in purchasing initiatives, cost reduction programs, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Min 3-5 years working experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or Material Department.
  • Experience in materials needs assessment, buying role, planning/purchasing scheduling are added advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Computer knowledge, ERP & Microsoft Office will be advantage.
  • Able to communicate in English, Malay & Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
