A leading travel app company is seeking an experienced Product Design Lead to transform its app into a habit-forming companion for travelers. At AirAsia MOVE, we are transforming from a primarily transactional travel app into a habit-forming companion that travelers return to – not just to book, but to dream, plan, and share.
Lead the end-to-end product design of key engagement journeys across our app – from homepage and personalization to rewards, reviews, user generated content and social features.
Partner with Product and Growth leaders to improve metrics like MAU, retention, repeat booking rate, and NPS.
Coach and mentor designers to grow their craft, influence, and strategic thinking.
Ensure design decisions are informed by insight and validated through data.
Maintain a consistent, elegant experience across surfaces and channels (primarily web and app), supported by a robust design system (that already is in a solid, mature state).
Build alignment across product, engineering, brand and marketing on shared customer outcomes.
Clear design vision and standards for our app experience.
Engagement and retention metrics move meaningfully.
The design team under your leadership operates with confidence, clarity, and shared purpose.
8+ years of experience in product design, including at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
Proven success designing and shipping consumer mobile apps with measurable growth outcomes.
Strong grasp of interaction design, information architecture, and data-informed iteration.
Ability to guide teams through ambiguity – from defining opportunity areas to refining details.
Portfolio that demonstrates exceptional product thinking and measurable business impact.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. We are looking for someone who can speak with confidence and proactively build relationships across the entire company.
