A leading water supply corporation in Penang is seeking a Senior Executive for their Human Resource Division. The ideal candidate will have a degree in HR Management, with at least 4 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. Responsibilities include overseeing payroll processes, compliance with Malaysian labor laws, and assisting in developing competitive compensation strategies. This is a contract position for one year with the possibility of absorption into a permanent role based on performance.
Ensure the full spectrum of payroll and leave administration, including monthly payroll processing, salary increments, bonuses, salary adjustments and related payments.
Assist superior to develop and implement competitive Compensation & Benefits (C&B) strategies.
Assist superior in the development of guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), data consolidation and validation, and preparation of proposals, statistics and reports.
Prepare companywide emoluments budget.
Stay abreast of relevant legislation, regulations and industry trends to ensure full compliance with all C&B related legal requirements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic HR data analytics initiatives.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and facilitate seamless operational efficiency.
Degree in Human Resource Management / Accountancy / Finance or equivalent qualification and approved by Malaysian Government.
Minimum 4 years working experience in related field; preferably in a senior compensation & benefits and/or payroll role with experience ideally gained within Human Resources.
In‑depth knowledge of payroll processing, Malaysian Labor Laws statutory contributions, and tax regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
Proficient in PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex payroll matters.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address payroll related challenges.
Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and perform effectively in a demanding environment.
Positions offered is contract for one (1) year prior to the absorption into permanent posts and subject to job performance.
