A dynamic fashion brand in Kuala Lumpur is searching for a Senior Executive Design & Social Media Content Strategist. The role focuses on creating and executing social media strategies while managing content calendars and community interactions. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, a strong portfolio in graphic design, and proficiency with tools like Adobe Creative Suite. This position offers the opportunity to shape the brand’s online presence and engage with a diverse audience.
Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content strategy aligned with marketing objectives, brand guidelines, and target audience needs across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, XHS).
Content Planning: Own the social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely stream of posts, campaigns, and activations.
Performance Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (engagement, reach, traffic, conversion) to evaluate performance, identify trends, and iterate on strategies.
Community Management: Oversee and, when necessary, personally handle the monitoring of comments, messages, and audience interactions to foster a positive community and ensure timely response.
Trend Spotting: Stay current with the latest social media best practices, platform changes, and emerging content formats/trends to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media-specific campaigns, contests, and collaborations.
2. Design & Visual Content Creation
Creative Production: Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality, engaging visual assets, including graphics, short-form video content (Reels, animations (GIFs), infographics, and presentation decks for social media and other marketing needs).
Brand Guardianship: Ensure all visual communication is consistent with our brand style guide, maintaining a high standard of aesthetic quality and clarity.
Asset Management: Organize and manage a library of all visual assets and source files.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Manager to translate marketing goals into effective and impactful visual solutions.
Creative Briefing: Develop clear, concise creative briefs for campaigns and external/freelance support when necessary.
Cross-Functional Support: Provide design support for internal company events, communications, or other ad-hoc marketing material as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing and growing social media presence for a brand.
Design Proficiency: High proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro/After Effects), or equivalent tools like Canva Pro for rapid content creation.
Portfolio: A strong and compelling portfolio showcasing a diverse range of graphic design and social media-specific content (including static graphics and video).
Social Media Expertise: In-depth, working knowledge of current social media platforms, including their algorithms, ad formats, and content best practices.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in using social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, native platform analytics) to derive actionable insights.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in [Specify Language(s), e.g., English, Malay].
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
