A leading investment bank in Malaysia is seeking an experienced candidate to assist in deal origination and execution for debt transactions. Responsibilities include preparing business plans, coordinating investor meetings, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance or related fields, at least 3 years of experience in debt capital markets, strong analytical and communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Hong Leong Investment Bank – Damansara, Selangor
Assist the team lead in deal origination, syndication and execution and account opening process for debt and debt-related transactions.
Prepare business plans and pitch books to support the team in deal pitching and structuring.
Coordinate, syndicate and research on execution and marketing process, including investor meetings, management roadshow; liaise with other professional parties, i.e. accountants, tax and legal advisers.
Draft documentations such as engagement letters, market update, investor feedback, discussion material for live deal transactions, and case studies of recent deals.
Ensure compliance of all acts, regulations, guidelines, policies and SOPs related to the job assigned.
Assist in achieving the targets and objectives set in HLIB’s sustainability journey.
Deliver desired work quality and satisfactory deliverables within expected timeline.
Work closely and communicate effectively with clients, other professional parties and execution teams to ensure deals are executed smoothly and transaction risks minimized.
Produce quality pitch books, valuation models and other analyses to support transactions and client presentations.
Possess Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in debt capital market.
Knowledge related to debt financing including credit evaluation, cash flow analysis, ESG & sustainability financing and financial market status.
Good understanding of relevant regulatory laws, rules, guidelines, and internal policies.
Good financial modelling and financial analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines.
A high level of attention to detail.
Self-initiated and team oriented.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
