A leading audit firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements and ensure compliance with professional standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, a preferred CPA license, and 3–5+ years of public accounting experience. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required. This role involves managing teams, communicating audit findings, and maintaining client relationships, in a hybrid or on-site work environment.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our audit team. The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license, possess strong technical auditing abilities, and be fluent in both English and Mandarin. This role is responsible for leading audit engagements, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and delivering high-quality work to clients in a fast-paced environment.
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessment, fieldwork, and report drafting.
Perform detailed testing of financial statement accounts, and supporting documentation in accordance with US GAAP, PCAOB, and firm methodologies.
Review work performed by junior team members, provide coaching, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Communicate audit issues, recommendations, and findings clearly to clients and internal leadership.
Participate in audit planning meetings, identify key risks, and develop engagement strategies.
Maintain strong client relationships and act as a primary point of contact throughout the audit.
Prepare audit deliverables, including financial statements, footnotes, and management letters.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
Assist with training, mentoring, and onboarding of staff auditors.
Support business development initiatives, including proposals and client presentations when needed.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA license preferred.
3–5+ years of public accounting experience, with demonstrated progression and leadership responsibilities.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin, including the ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly.
Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
Experience working with multinational companies or cross-border clients.
Hybrid or on-site work environment depending on client needs.
