A leading pharmacy chain in Klang City seeks a Senior Accounts Executive to manage financial reporting, maintain the general ledger, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The role demands expertise in month-end closing, tax compliance, and reporting processes. Candidates should possess a degree in Accounting or Finance and have 3–5 years of experience in relevant financial roles. Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of ERP/SAP systems will be advantageous. This position offers a dynamic working environment and opportunities for process improvement.
Responsible for supporting month-end closing, preparation of financial reports, maintenance of the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information in accordance with MFRS and internal policies.
Perform month-end closing activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting in compliance with MFRS.
Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness. Review and perform balance sheet reconciliations (banks, accruals, prepayments, intercompany, etc.).
Monitor and clear outstanding items promptly.
Assist in preparing tax-related schedules and supporting documents for corporate tax filing.
Ensure accuracy of SST filings (if applicable), withholding tax documentation, and related submissions.
Liaise with tax agents to provide data and respond to queries.
Support annual tax computation and tax audit processes.
Support annual statutory audit and address auditor queries on time. Ensure documentation complies with internal controls and financial policies.
Assist in streamlining reporting processes and enhancing internal controls. Participate in system enhancement and automation initiatives.
Liaise with internal departments to validate financial data.
Support ad-hoc analysis, projects, and reporting requirements as assigned.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience (reporting/GL preferred).
Knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS) and internal control principles.
Proficient in MS Excel; experience with ERP/SAP is an added advantage.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
