Job summary

A leading recruitment service in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounts for Singapore and Malaysia entities. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in Accountancy and has at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software like XERO is essential. The position offers a salary between RM8000 - RM10,000 per month and requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Map

Job responsibilities
  • Manage full sets of accounts, including GL, AR, AP, journal entries, audit schedules and bank reconciliations. (Singapore and Malaysia Entities)
  • Perform daily receipting
  • Process supplier invoices payments, vendor payments and expenses claims.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly closing
  • Check and reconcile E-Invoicing in IRBM and Accounting system
  • Liaise with banks, company secretaries, tax agent, auditor, and government authorities on company related matters
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, taxation (SST, e-invoicing, corporate tax), and audit requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Perform other assigned ad-hoc duties when required
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or ACCA and equivalent professional qualifications
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience in handling full set of accounts
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software(XERO/ MS Dynamics 365 Business Central) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous, organized and able to multi-task
  • Experience in startups / early-stage companies
  • Able to work independently and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
