Job summary

A leading distribution company in Malaysia is looking for an individual to manage handheld and printer devices while conducting sales visits. Responsibilities include maintaining stock, interacting with customers, and managing cash collections, ensuring adherence to company policies. Candidates must be prepared for driving duties and follow strict guidelines regarding personal conduct and company property.

  • Personal grooming must be presentable, including clean shaven, ironed uniforms, and black shoes.
  • Ability to report incidents and accidents immediately to supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales visit and interact with customers as per schedule.
  • Collect cash and cheque, ensuring it's deposited into the company's account.
  • Adhere to driving rules and replace driver when needed.
Job description
Handheld & Printer Device Maintenance
  • Handheld & printer to be kept in the designated pigeon hole.
  • Mandatory to charge these devices on daily basis.
  • Check battery level of both devices before heading out for sales.
  • Paper rolls to be obtained from branch office.
  • Empty plastic cores to be retained & handed over to branch.
  • Only “Stylus” is allowed to be used when scrolling the handheld screen.
  • Mandatory to keep handheld & printer at hotel room during outstation visit.
Loading Area & Stock Management
  • Unload & arrange stocks on the pallets as per company’s requirement.
  • Ensure returned stocks are segregated & displayed separately.
  • Check & load the final quantity into respective vehicle before heading out for sales.
  • Ensure acknowledged copy of “Verification Report” is handed to respective Branch Manager/Executive.
Sales Visit & Customer Interaction
  • Adhere and follow the routing in handheld and have to visit all customers as per schedule.
  • Mandatory to follow “7 Steps” when conducting sales transaction: Greet customer & scan barcode, Check stock & return, Take order, Deliver stock, Collection, Merchandising, Thank customer & log out handheld.
  • Copy of Tax Invoice, Receipt & Goods Return Note to be retained for submission.
  • “Goods Return Note” must have customer’s rubber stamp.
  • Customer complaints & tele-orders are to be attended to within 24 hours.
  • When directed/required, you are to stay overnight when going out for sales.
Cash & Cheque Collection
  • Cash collection for the day must be deposited into company’s account not less than twice in a day.
  • Bank in slip to be retained & surrendered to Branch Executive along with other reports upon submission.
  • Discrepancies & shortages of stocks or cash are to be borne by salesman.
  • Using company’s money for personal use is deemed serious offence & chargeable under Criminal Breach of Trust (CBT).
  • Credit, cheque, 3rd party cheque facilities must be sanctioned by management.
General Requirements
  • Ensure your personal grooming is presentable e.g. clean shaven, uniforms are ironed & use black shoes, ensure clipped and well-groomed fingernails, etc.
  • Any summons, incidents & accidents sustained on the vehicle assigned to you must be reported immediately to supervisor.
  • Strictly not allowed to ferry any other items or products other than our company’s products.
  • Consumption of banned substance i.e. liquors, drug etc. during working hours constitutes a serious offence.
Driver / Relief Driver Duties
  • Replace driver in the event of driver absence or if/when the need arises for sales trip.
  • Adhere to the rules of driving by driving within the speed limits, proper parking, etc. as the company won’t reimburse any summons.
  • Company assigned lorry to be driven by you alone & not others.
  • Strictly not allowed to ferry any other items or products other than our company’s products.
  • Consumption of banned substance i.e. liquors, drug etc. during working hours constitutes a serious offence.
  • Any other tasks as instructed by your supervisor from time to time.
