Job summary

A heavy machinery company is seeking a dedicated sales professional to drive growth in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the machinery industry, and must be proficient in English, Bahasa Melayu, and ideally Mandarin. Responsibilities include executing marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and conducting market research. This role also involves travel across Malaysia, participation in trade fairs, and maintaining strong client connections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sales; fresh graduates welcome.
  • Experience in the heavy equipment and machinery industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

📍 Location: Multiple locations available across Malaysia (Selangor, Kluang, Kuantan, Penang, and Kota Kinabalu)

Job Description
  • Execute marketing strategies to meet individual and team sales targets.
  • Identify, approach, and develop new clients and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct market research and gather industry insights.
  • Handle prospects/clients communication and follow-ups including respond to trade and product inquiries.
  • Attend to customer’s complaints and troubleshoot problems relating to department.
  • Manage and support timely payment collection.
  • Manage and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Support and participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and expos.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
  • Preferably, experience in parts, heavy equipment, and machinery industry sales.
  • Languages: Proficient in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin is preferred (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Sales-driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Quick learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Passion for sales and client engagement.
  • Must be willing to travel within Malaysia.
