Job description
Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive training, sales, or after‑sales operations.
  • Strong knowledge of EV technologies, customer service standards, and dealership operations.
  • Experience in training design, delivery, and coaching within the automotive sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills with ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
  • Analytical skills to measure training effectiveness and link to performance outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt training style for both sales‑driven and technical service audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office, e‑learning tools, and dealership CRM/DMS systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Bahasa Malaysia); Mandarin is an added advantage.
Responsibility
Training Delivery & Facilitation
  • Conduct onboarding programs for new Sales Advisors and After‑Sales staff.
  • Deliver structured training modules covering:
    • Sales: Product knowledge (EV technologies, BYD features, specifications), sales process, CRM usage, showroom etiquette, test‑drive standards, financing options, and closing techniques.
    • After‑Sales: Service process, customer handling, warranty policies, EV service & maintenance knowledge, parts operations, and complaint resolution.
  • Ensure training incorporates BYD global standards and aligns with local dealership goals.
  • Use blended learning methods (classroom, role‑plays, on‑the‑job coaching, e‑learning, and assessments).
Performance Coaching & Development
  • Provide regular coaching to sales and service staff through shadowing, mystery shopping feedback, and one‑on‑one development sessions.
  • Identify individual and departmental training needs through performance reviews, customer feedback (NPS, CSI), and manager input.
  • Mentor staff to continuously improve customer handling, upselling, cross‑selling, and retention practices.
Curriculum & Training Material Management
  • Develop and update training manuals, SOP guides, and reference materials tailored to dealership operations.
  • Localize BYD’s training content to suit the Malaysian market (EV incentives, financing, service practices).
  • Maintain a digital repository of training materials, assessments, and attendance records.
Evaluation & Reporting
  • Track training effectiveness through pre‑and post‑training evaluations, mystery shopper results, sales/after‑sales KPIs, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Submit monthly training reports to management highlighting progress, gaps, and recommendations.
  • Support management in achieving dealership NPS, Mystery Shopper, and operational KPIs.
