Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and DOSH requirements.
  • Liaise with government bodies on safety and health matters.
  • Maintain and update all statutory documents and safety certificates.
  • Develop and monitor the Safety and Health Policy.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions and training programs.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) requirements.
  • Liaise with government bodies such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and local authorities on safety and health matters.
  • Maintain and update all statutory documents, permits, and safety certificates.
  • Safety Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s Safety and Health Policy, objectives, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and practices, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Promote safety awareness through campaigns, posters, and briefings.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain accident/incident records and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct emergency drills and ensure readiness of firefighting and first-aid equipment.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare monthly safety reports, statistics, and presentations for management review.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of all safety-related records.
  • Participate in safety and health committees and initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of current safety regulations, trends, and best practices.

Candidate must have a green book competency.
