Job description

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day retail store operations in line with retail standards, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of customer service.
• Lead, coach, and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets, with strong focus on silver Jewellery knowledge, purity standards (e.g. 925 silver), and customer education.
• Oversee inventory control, including stock ordering, receiving, tagging, display, stock reconciliation, and periodic stock audits.
• Drive sales through effective promotional planning aligned with festive calendar.
• Ensure attractive visual merchandising and window displays that appeal to local customer preferences and current silver Jewellery trends.
• Build strong customer relationships by educating buyers on silver authenticity, care, pricing, and long-term value.
• Handle customer enquiries, exchanges, and complaints professionally, ensuring compliance with company policies and Malaysian consumer regulations.
• Monitor store performance, prepare sales and stock reports, and recommend action plans to improve revenue and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures and company SOPs.
• Liaise with local suppliers, artisans, and vendors for product sourcing, new collections, and replenishment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in silver Jewellery, Jewellery retail, or lifestyle/fashion retail.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with proven ability to drive sales and meet targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in customer interaction and negotiation.
• Sound knowledge of silver Jewellery, purity standards (e.g. 925), market trends, and customer preferences.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and POS/retail systems.
• Customer-centric, energetic, and presentable personality with a passion for retail and Jewellery.
• A proactive problem-solver with creative merchandising and sales strategy skills.
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Retail Management, or related field is preferred; retail certifications are an added advantage.
• Tamil speaking is mandatory
