Retail Operation Support Assistant Manager (Backend Support)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Silver Maxlink Sdn Bhd as a Retail Operation Assistant Manager. In this full-time role, you will be based in Seberang Jaya Penang and play a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail stores. Your strategic leadership and attention to detail will be instrumental in driving the success of our retail business.

What you'll be doing
  • To perform and support operations pertaining to outlet operations, stock counts, exhibitions, marketing events and opening of new outlets
  • Lead and coordinate new store opening projects from pre-construction planning to final handover
  • Participate in new store openings, renovations, and layout planning.
  • Supervise and follow up with construction contractors to ensure renovation work, layout, signage, and fixtures are completed according to company standards, safety requirements, and schedule
  • Arrange POSM, display content, and ensure retail store audit feedback is properly recorded
  • Implement and monitor sales and customer service strategies to drive revenue growth
  • To conduct internal operational audits, review audit results and recommend for process improvement as and when required
  • Analyse sales data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
  • Liaise with the marketing team to execute effective promotional campaigns
  • Support Store Managers and teams through coaching, guidance, and performance monitoring
  • Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
What we're looking for
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a retail operations or store support, preferably in multi-store environment
  • Experience with home improvement, convenience, or value retail chains (e.g., MR DIY, Eco-Shop, Miniso) is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpreting sales and operational metrics
  • Proven track record of driving sales and improving store performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
