Position Responsibilities
Managing the distributor like a business unit and is responsible for managing the P&L for the territory.
- Evaluating how to define the Route to Market through the distributor’s business, via cost‑effective and provides a proper level of service complying to the Company’s business strategies & objectives.
- Developing a business plan for the distributor that will address both consumer and trade needs and a joint business plan with the distributor, establish monthly and quarterly targets and continually measure progress towards these targets.
- Work closely with Marketing team to ensure a clear understanding of the marketing objectives and New Product Development direction to further develop the business and execution of trade plans.
- Ensure bottom‑up sales forecast by sku by the distributor is submitted 3 months ahead.
- Ensuring appropriate levels of inventory are managed at all times versus sellout.
- Lead, develop, train and manage distributor sales team members and merchandisers to ensure effective and efficient cycle plan/work process and execution in trade focusing on sales fundamental: basic call rate; effective call rate; repeat purchase rate; distribution; pricing; shelving; merchandising and etc.
- Evaluate results of sales fundamental and sales promotions plan and recommend, when and where appropriate, on changes deemed necessary.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distributorships, and strategic alliances.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our products/services and keep up to date with industry trends.
Qualification and Experience
Degree holder in Business Studies, Marketing or equivalent.
- 5 years of solid experience in FMCG sales and marketing, preferably from leading MNC or distributor environment handling MNC principle.
- Experienced in sales execution, distributor management, RTM, budget management, in-store execution, promotional and merchandising activity.
- Aggressive, result oriented and with high personal drive to succeed.
- Have strong people and negotiation skills, able to deal effectively with distributors and to execute the sales / marketing plans.
- Converse well in English. Mandarin or Cantonese will be added advantage. Fluent in local languages and English
