Job description

Position Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

  • Develop layout plans, 3D perspectives, and full set technical drawings for international outlets.
  • Ensure drawings are compliant with brand standards and relevant local requirements.

Standardization & Guidelines

  • Assist in producing and maintaining design guidelines, standard drawing templates, and detail libraries.
  • Support consistency and quality in design across all regions.

Franchise Design Review

  • Review and comment on design proposals submitted by franchisees.
  • Ensure design alignment with brand identity, functional requirements, and technical feasibility.

Regional Design Support

  • Respond to design-related enquiries from all regions and upcoming countries.
  • Support localization of design for various markets while maintaining brand integrity.

Quality Control of Submissions

  • Ensuring submitted drawings and documents (internal or franchise) meet visual, technical, and formatting standards before release.

Documentation & Version Control Support

  • Helping to organize, archive, and manage updates of drawing sets and guideline documents, especially across different countries/versions.

Design Process & Workflow Optimization

  • Contributing feedback or improvements to how the team produces, reviews, or localizes design documents (especially helpful in international/regional rollouts).

Cross-Department Liaison (Informal)

  • Acting as a point of contact between COE Design and Ops, Marketing, or Construction teams on matters affecting design execution or layout practicality.

Training & Onboarding (Light)

  • Occasionally assisting new regional team members or franchisees to understand the design standards, templates, and tools.

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in retail / F&B / commercial interior design.
  • Exposure to regional or franchise projects is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Experience in construction detailing and drawing submission.
  • Familiarity with 3D rendering tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills, able to coordinate across functions and countries.
  • Takes initiative and shows strong sense of responsibility.
  • Flexible and adaptable to project demands, including tight timelines and regional time differences.
  • Proactive and committed to meeting deadlines, even in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
