Job summary

A leading renewable energy firm in Malaysia is looking for a Permitting Coordinator to manage the Right of Way (ROW) application process and oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) applications. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in regulatory approvals, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of local authority processes. The Permitting Coordinator will ensure compliance with all requirements and facilitate project execution. Travel to project sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of local authority processes and requirements related to ROW, PTW, and DO applications.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Right of Way (ROW) application process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely approvals.
  • Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) application and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate site access and construction activities.
  • Handle the Development Order (DO) application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted to consultant for local authorities’ submission
  • Liaise with various local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project execution, including but not limited to environmental, building, and operational permits.
  • Ensure compliance with all permitting and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to gather required information and documentation for permit applications.
  • Monitor and track the status of all permit applications and approvals, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Identify potential regulatory risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate delays in the permitting process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with changes in local regulations, policies, and procedures that may impact the project approvals.
  • Support project management teams in resolving any permitting-related challenges that arise during project execution.
Qualifications
