Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and competent Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and capable of leading electrical construction and infrastructure works while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full cycle of project execution from planning to completion.
- Drive site progress, monitor team performance, and ensure project timelines, milestones, and quality standards are achieved.
- Coordinate effectively with TNB, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Uphold safety, quality, regulatory, and authority standards consistently across all project stages.
- Oversee and manage electrical construction activities, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and according to technical specifications.
- Supervise subcontractors, workers, materials, and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or engineering issues promptly, including discrepancies in drawings and electrical details.
- Maintain accurate reporting, including daily site reports, progress photos, site measurements, and project documentation.
- Prepare technical documents such as as-built drawings, test reports, inspection forms, and commissioning records.
- Ensure compliance with TNB, ST, CIDB, and other authority requirements.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure all approvals, inspections, and submissions are completed as required.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, specifications, and method statements to ensure proper implementation on-site.
- Supervise electrical testing, inspection, commissioning, and overall QA/QC processes.
- Collaborate with consultants and clients to resolve technical matters efficiently and professionally.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power Systems.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in civil / electrical infrastructure projects.
- Direct experience in TNB grid development works is mandatory/preferable.
- Proven leadership qualities – a true team leader who is motivated, driven, and result-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical expertise in structural analysis, design, and project management.
- Well-versed with TNB standards, authority procedures, and safety compliance.
- Able to start immediately or within a short notice period.
