Job Scope

• To perform eye tests on customers (objective & subjective refraction, etc).
• To provide customers with professional consultation.
• To prescribe and dispense prescription spectacles and contact lenses.
• To be responsible for daily sales and operations.
• To perform spectacles maintenance, adjustments and edging when needed.
• To be responsible for daily shop cleanliness and inventory.
• Other ad‑hoc assignments when required.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Must hold a recognized optician certification (e.g., Opticianry Certification or Diploma in Optometry). or
• Qualifications: Valid optometrist certification (e.g., Bachelors in Optometry or equivalent certification) is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in eyewear or optometry, is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, and the latest trends in eyewear.
• Proficiency in conducting basic eye tests and using optical equipment.
• Ability to interpret and verify prescriptions accurately.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction.
• Basic knowledge of retail operations, including POS systems and inventory management.
• Proven sales experience with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
