Job Description:
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
This role involves leading complex network projects, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Network Operations
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and optimization of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
- Ensure proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of network performance and availability.
- Develop and maintain network architecture standards for LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
- Develop and maintain resilient and secure network solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements
2) Security & Compliance
- Implement network security controls including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal security policies.
3) Project Leadership
- Lead network-related projects such as major deployment, data center migrations, and disaster recovery.
- Prepare technical documentation, project plans, and risk assessments.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with vendors for hardware/software support and licensing.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Infrastructure, Security, Application) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
4) Innovation & Optimization
- Drive automation initiatives for network operations and health checks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network performance and resiliency.
5) Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (Data Center LAN, Campus WAN, LAN & Wi-Fi).
- Incident Management – Lead the network related incident until closure, follow internal Incident management process
- Provide support for end-users and internal teams
6) Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and changes.
- Update network diagrams and inventory lists.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 8+ years in network engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
- Certifications: CCNP, HCIP (Huawei), or equivalent; knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Routing & Switching (Cisco, Huawei), Enterprise Wireless (Cisco, Huawei), Firewalls & Load Balancers (F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet), SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, Network automation (Python, Ansible)
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
