Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented individual to create accurate 2D technical drawings and models for mechanical parts. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with standards, generating BOMs, and collaborating with engineering and production teams. Ideal candidates should be capable of supporting product development and maintaining rigorous documentation practices. Ad Hoc tasks may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D technical drawings and models for mechanical parts.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings based on specifications.
• Update, revise, and maintain drawing files according to project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with dimensional accuracy and technical standards.
• Work closely with engineers, production, and quality teams.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and documentation for products.
• Assist in product development with design input and drawing improvements.
• Perform drawing checks and document revisions.
• Support production with technical information and design updates.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for CAD drawings.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by Management.

Job description

1.1 Create accurate 2D technical drawings and models for mechanical parts, including screws, fasteners, and related components.

1.2 Prepare detailed engineering drawings based on specifications, samples, or instructions from the engineering team.

1.3 Update, revise, and maintain drawing files according to project requirements and company standards.

1.4 Ensure all drawings comply with dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and technical standards (ISO/ANSI).

1.5 Work closely with engineers, production, and quality teams to ensure drawings meet manufacturing requirements.

1.6 Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), specifications, and documentation for new or revised products.

1.7 Assist in product development by providing design input and drawing improvements when needed.

1.8 Perform drawing checks and ensure revisions are properly documented and controlled.

1.9 Support production with technical information, drawing clarifications, and design updates.

1.10 Maintain proper filing, version control, and documentation for all CAD drawings and project records.

1.11 Perform any other ad hoc tasks or duties assigned by the Management as required.
