Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor Bahru is looking for a maintenance technician to execute and oversee maintenance works, ensuring the proper functioning of plant machinery and equipment. Candidates should have at least an SPM or related certificate and a minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance department. Communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English are essential, along with a flexible and proactive attitude towards various tasks. Safety and continuous improvement are priorities in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance works including troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, and servicing of plant machinery.
  • Collaborate with production employees to carry out the Preventive Maintenance Program for zero breakdowns.
  • Perform routine checks on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical or electronics problems and repair when necessary.
  • Plan necessary spare parts for critical items and maintain inventory.
  • Carry out plant improvement projects and prioritize safety during repairs.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on facilities, electrical, and other systems.

Responsibilities
  • To execute maintenance works including troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, test run and servicing of plant machineries, equipment and facilities.
  • To work towards zero breakdowns by effectively carrying out the Preventive Maintenance Program (TPM) in collaboration with production employees.
  • To make a routine check on machines and equipment to ensure machines and equipment are working in good condition.
  • To troubleshoot and recommend a solution to electrical or electronics problems and if necessary, repair the fault.
  • To plan for necessary spare parts for critical items and to maintain the spare parts inventory.
  • To carry out plant improvement projects, repairs, maintenance, and fabrication work as part of continuous improvement activities with safety as a priority.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, electrical, and other building systems.
