A logistics management company in Malaysia is seeking a strategic leader to oversee logistics operations and implement effective strategies. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, managing warehouse and inventory governance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Logistics or related field, with professional certifications preferred. This role emphasizes analytical skills and proven experience in operational improvements, aiming to enhance service quality and reduce costs.
Formulate and implement logistics strategies, policies, and SOPs to align with organizational goals.
Establish department KPIs and ensure consistent achievement of operational and financial targets.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing logistics team, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide expert advice to management on logistics capabilities, risk mitigation, and operational planning.
Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, material handling, inventory control, picking, and dispatch.
Ensure inventory accuracy through robust stock control systems, cycle counts, and audit compliance.
Optimize warehouse space utilization, workflow design, equipment usage, and safety practices.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, ISO requirements, and proper documentation for audit trails.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Develop and manage transport schedules, route optimization, and fleet performance.
Evaluate and negotiate with transport service providers and 3PL vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable performance.
Monitor delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and complaint resolution.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service quality.
Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant laws, industrial guidelines, safety regulations (OSH), and company policies.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure effective documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance across all logistics functions.
Develop and manage departmental budgets including manpower, warehousing, and transportation costs.
Monitor cost efficiency and implement cost‑control measures without compromising service levels.
Oversee resource allocation, equipment utilization, and procurement of logistics‑related assets.
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications (e.g., SCPro, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma) are an added advantage.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
Advanced understanding of logistics, warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP), and supply chain processes.
Strong analytical and decision‑making ability, with proven experience in operational improvements.
High proficiency in communication, reporting, and cross‑functional coordination.
Strong commitment to integrity, safety, and compliance.
