Job summary

A logistics company in Selangor is seeking an individual to manage shipping and container logistics, requiring competency in ERP systems and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include coordinating deliveries, managing shipping documents, and maintaining inventory records. Candidates should ideally have a diploma in logistics or related fields, with a preference for those with prior experience in logistics or supply chain management. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage container request details including customer and weight.
  • Coordinate container booking, pickup, and closing dates with agents.
  • Prepare export logistics documents such as Invoice and DO.
  • Communicate with transporters on delivery issues.
  • Perform monthly stock counts and inventory adjustments.

Job description

Prepare and manage container request details (PI, SO, customer, container size, pallet type, weight, location). Coordinate container booking, pickup, ETA, free time, and closing dates with forwarding agents and shipping lines. Monitor container gross weight to prevent overweight issues and liaise with Sales/Shipping Lines when required. Display container request slips at loading areas and coordinate loading readiness with production and warehouse teams. Arrange local lorry and transporter support for deliveries.

Shipping & Container Coordination
  • Prepare and manage container request details (PI, SO, customer, container size, pallet type, weight, location).
  • Coordinate container booking, pickup, ETA, free time, and closing dates with forwarding agents and shipping lines.
  • Monitor container gross weight to prevent overweight issues and liaise with Sales/Shipping Lines when required.
  • Display container request slips at loading areas and coordinate loading readiness with production and warehouse teams.
  • Arrange local lorry and transporter support for deliveries.
ERP (AX System) & Operational Reporting
  • Perform container setup and shipment transactions in AX system.
  • Check product readiness (Jumbo Rolls / Finished Goods) and follow up with production planners.
  • Generate container summaries, reports, and postings via AX Handheld system.
  • Maintain daily shipment records and update shared spreadsheets for tracking and reference.
Documentation & Export Compliance
  • Prepare export and logistics documents including Invoice, DO, DPL, SI, CIPL, COA, and related shipping paperwork.
  • Handle manual pick & pack for trading items and prepare DO for pallets and chemicals.
  • Verify material details (e.g. BOPP film) and ensure compliance with MIDA declaration requirements.
  • Coordinate with laboratory for COA requests based on SO or invoice requirements.
Delivery, Transport & Daily Operations
  • Issue invoices and delivery orders daily and coordinate with Customer Service on credit limit or special requests.
  • Print product and warehouse stickers for shipment and stock identification.
  • Communicate with transporters on ETA, ETD, lorry capacity, routes, and delivery issues.
  • Support sample requests from sales team.
Security & Gate Coordination
  • Verify container consignment notes and booking numbers with security and shipping records.
  • Prepare and submit container readiness lists to security, including weekend arrangements.
Inventory, Records & Administration
  • Perform monthly stock counts and inventory adjustments in AX system.
  • Maintain shipping, logistics, and audit records systematically.
  • Arrange weekly and monthly filing of SO, DO, and signed transport documents.
  • Record printer meter readings monthly and report to HR.
Job Requirement
  • SPM or equivalent or Diploma in logistic management, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field. Motivated fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge about ERP System.
  • Knowledge of transportation management and inventory control.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Open Office.
