MUFG is seeking an IT Risk Analyst (2LOD) to join their Operational Risk Management team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. What You'll Do:

As an IT Risk Analyst, your responsibilities are as follows (included but not limited to):

Responsibilities:
  • Review and challenge IT risk management by the 1LOD, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, including monitoring KRIs and third‑party assessments for reporting.
  • Maintain and update IT Risk Management and Cyber Resilience Frameworks, aligning with regulatory guidelines and parent bank standards.
  • Support revisions of operational risk management frameworks, including Third Party Risk Management and Business Continuity Management.
  • Oversee IT risk identification and assessment, reviewing compliance gaps, control testing, and audit findings.
  • Provide advisory support on emerging risks like cloud and cyber threats, conducting assessments as needed.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and present IT risk reports to management and the Board.
  • Manage security awareness programs and facilitate cross‑training.
  • Participate in operational risk management activities, including BCP testing and scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate IT‑related drills and tests to enhance preparedness.
  • Engage in risk management committees and initiatives as an SME.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements.
What You Bring:

As an IT Risk Analyst, you’ll bring technical proficiency alongside strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments. Your ability to communicate complex technical details clearly ensures effective engagement with diverse audiences. Familiarity with international standards like ISO 27001 or NIST will be advantageous, along with hands‑on experience using tools like RCSA or KRI. Above all, your proactive attitude and reliability will make you a trusted partner during incident response scenarios or when closing out audit findings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related field.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing skills are a must, with the ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Creative in preparing training materials and the ability to train others well.
  • Knowledge of IT risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CRI, COBIT), risk management methodologies and familiarity with risk management tools such as RCSA, KRI, LED is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in conducting IT risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and implementing controls is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM RMIT) and knowledge in corporate banking is an added advantage.
  • Proactive, self‑starter and ability to work with minimum supervision is a must.
