Job summary

A leading fintech company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Operations Manager to supervise day-to-day IT operations and ensure the health of their infrastructure. This role involves vendor management, monitoring cybersecurity incidents, and ensuring compliance with SLAs. Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day IT operations and monitor infrastructure health (servers, private cloud, network).

Coordinate with vendors to ensure SLA compliance and system stability.

Serve as the main point of contact for cloud hosting and cybersecurity incidents, reports, and escalations.

Track vulnerabilities and ensure timely remediation with internal teams and vendors.

Lead backups and disaster recovery drills, ensuring evidence packs are documented for audit readiness.

Manage OS updates, patches, and infrastructure fixes.

Handle internal IT requests (non-application related).

Prepare and deliver IT reporting (weekly/monthly), including compliance and audit documentation.

Escalate risks and issues to the CTO as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of IT operations, infrastructure, or vendor management experience.

Familiarity with private cloud platforms, server monitoring, and vendor SLA management.

Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and adaptability to evolving compliance needs.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Effective communication skills for cross-team and vendor coordination.

Exposure to fintech, financial services, or regulated industries is a plus.
