Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Penang is seeking an experienced HR professional to handle the end-to-end processes for foreign workers. Responsibilities include recruitment, visa management, and compliance with labour laws. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in HR and 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end foreign worker processes including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage foreign worker hostels and daily HR matters.
  • Liaise with agencies and internal departments.
  • Prepare manpower reports and monitor passport/permit expiry.

Job description

Handle end-to-end foreign worker processes: recruitment, calling visa, permit renewal, FOMEMA, and onboarding.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Employment Act, Immigration rules, Act 446, and social audit requirements.

Manage foreign worker hostels, welfare, and daily HR matters (attendance, discipline, etc).

Liaise with agencies, Immigration, JTK, embassies, and internal departments.

Prepare manpower reports and track passport/permit expiry.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in HR or any related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in managing foreign workers, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Good knowledge of labour laws, immigration procedures, and hostel compliance.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate in multiple languages will be an added advantage.

Organized, meticulous, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
